Photographs of Autumn in Vancouver, Canada (2012)

Today Vancouver was blessed with beautiful sunny weather. I took the opportunity during my lunch break to go take a walk near the entrance to Stanley Park and around Coal Harbour to take some shots of the Autumn leaves.

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons in Vancouver. Although the rainy season typically starts around now, the changing colour of the leaves is breath-taking in a sunny day, the air is crisp but bearable, and the sky is a deep blue.

Having grown up in Mexico, I never really got to experience the changing of the seasons to the same extent as I have since I moved to Canada, and for this, I consider myself lucky! If you’re not fortunate enough to get a proper Autumn (or should I say, if you’re fortunate enough to live somewhere with perpetual summer?), I highly recommend you take an Autumn trip sometime and get to experience this beautiful season.
